Douglas Tingey* is “of counsel” with BAX Securities Law. Doug is a senior corporate lawyer with extensive experience in complex business transactions and project development in the energy (including clean energy and alternative fuels), commercial real estate and Aboriginal economic development areas. Doug’s legal experience includes practising with an international law firm as well as several Canadian national and regional law firms. Doug has extensive experience in joint ventures and finance projects both domestically and internationally.
Doug provides strategic advice to Aboriginal communities seeking to fulfill their economic development needs. Doug also provides advice to industry clients seeking to develop projects with Aboriginal communities. He advises on a variety of resource developments, such as in the cannabis, mining and energy and real estate areas.
Doug’s Aboriginal economic development practice covers a broad range of economic development matters, on and off reserve, including structuring businesses and economic development initiatives and the governance of Aboriginal owned businesses. Doug also provides corporate commercial, corporate finance, public policy, and governance administration advice to Aboriginal communities.
