About Barbara Hendrickson
Highlights:
I am a senior securities lawyer and only recently started my own law firm, BAX Securities Law, specializing in the securities law area. I have worked in a number of “law jobs” over my career including at the Ontario Securities Commission, a large national law firm and an international law firm.
Throughout my career I have been active in the CBA (Past Chair of the Business Law Section) and the OBA as well as a number of professional associations such as the Association of Law Officers of the Crown (Past President); the Women’s Law Association of Ontario (Past President); the University of Toronto’s Environmental Finance Committee and Responsible Investment Committee (Vice Chair); and the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (Past Board Member).
I was previously ranked by Law Day Leading Practitioners as one of the top 10 environmental finance lawyers in Canada and I am a past recipient of the Women’s Law Association President’s Award, an award recognizing substantial contribution and commitment to the promotion of women in law and as a leader in the legal profession. I was recently awarded the Arbor Award from the University of Toronto for my volunteer activities on the Environmental Finance area. I am a trustee of the OBA Foundation.
