Barbara has advised Aboriginal communities and their partners on projects / transactions in the real estate, mining, climate change, forestry, energy, capital raising, forestry, cannabis, tourism, infrastructure, technology and financial services areas. She advises on the development of community based corporate and financing structures and governance regimes for on, and off reserve projects.
Barbara provides corporate finance, corporate, financial services and securities advice to Aboriginal communities including in the areas of private and public funding, structuring equity and debt financing including social bonds, joint ventures, limited partnerships and the registration of cooperatives, credit unions, money services businesses and investment funds.
Barbara has in depth understanding of project finance, trading systems, corporate commercial and business issues affecting emissions trading transactions and offset projects, corporate governance / public company disclosure and business planning issues.
Barbara is on the editorial board of the Canadian Institute’s Securities Law & Litigation Review.
