Background

In 2012, Barbara Hendrickson, after a twenty year career that included stints with Canada’s largest securities regulator, one of the world’s largest law firms and a highly ranked national law firm, founded BAX Securities Law. Since that time, BAX Securities Law has been named one of the top ten Corporate Boutique firms in Canada by Canadian lawyers Magazine six years in a row.

Barbara practises in the securities and financial services regulatory areas, has acted as counsel to major Canadian and American corporations, market participants including dealers, portfolio managers, investment fund managers boards of directors, financial institutions, REITs, private equity, venture capital and investment funds, money services businesses and mortgage brokers.

Barbara is Lexpert Ranked in the Corporate Finance & Securities category which are the best corporate finance lawyers in Canada as ranked by Lexpert.

She is a participant in the Pro Bono Support Program which is sponsored by the Office of Economic Growth and Innovation at the Ontario Securities Commission.

She is currently serving her second term on the British Columbia Securities Commission Fintech Advisory Forum, which is comprised of fintech industry professionals and experts, who advise BCSC staff on fintech trends and developments in the securities industry.
